Power Systems

About

FOSSEE project is part of the National Mission on Education through ICT with the thrust area being "Adaptation and deployment of free/libre and open source simulation packages equivalent to proprietary software, funded by Ministry of Education (MOE), based at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB).
The Power Systems Research group at FOSSEE aims to focus on power systems modeling and simulation using OpenModelica language and OpenIPSL library in collaboration with ALSET Lab at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in USA. The research group foster the use of open source tools for engineering education and dedicated to improve the level or quality of power system studies that is taught in various engineering colleges across India.

Contribute to TBC project

To improve open source power system simulation software, such as OpenIPSL we look forward sharing and developing OpenModelica code for solved examples from power system simulation textbooks (textbook companion project). Please check the completed TBCs for further reference.

  • To contribute to TBC project we welcome you to propose a power system book by clicking here.
  • List of completed Text Books on power systems simulation using OpenModelica and OpenIPSL can be found here.
